Some people don’t know this (everyone nearly), I make beaded flowers, in Victorian style (also known as ladder). The technique has been around since the 1500's, originating in France and Italy. There are many fine examples of original antique bouquets of beaded flowers, in families for generations. The peasants made the flowers from ill-shaped beads, kept them in the family, or sold them to the rich.

Any who, it took me three weeks, on and off, to make the 12 beaded flowers in this German lead crystal port glass and porcelain-like roses. From the top there is 8 gold hearts on wires. The colours consist of porcelain-white/cream roses, gold roses, dark crimson/wine red beads, cream beads, clear crystal beads, gold wire and dark pink wire.

This bouquet is worth AUD$120 direct, or AUD$170 in shops I supply. I take commissions as well. Approx - $10 per beaded rose, in that example. It can take unto one and a half hours to make and construct one cottage-rose-like flower. Please note me if interested.

Please excuse the bad picture; I will be posting better soon. All comments are extremely welcome.

Missie - That is so cool and unique. I've never seen beaded flowers before in my life.

Those are absolutely gorgeous. How much would one be in Canadian dollars?

I'm in awe. You're just full of cool talents. Those are so neat!

They're beautiful! I can't say I've ever seen beaded flowers either.
